A native of San Francisco, Dede spent 6 years in Scotland, before moving to Alameda with her family. She is very happy to be home in the Bay Area and appreciative of the wonderful life she shares with her husband and their two children.
Dede cherishes education and community. Since moving to Alameda over a decade ago, she has developed a special connection to her children’s school community. She served as the PTG President at St. Joseph Elementary School in 2006, and is currently serving as an Advisory Board member. Dede’s compassionate nature is exemplified by her past involvement at a local Montessori school and currently as an Advisory Board Member at Cal-Safe Island High School.
Her husband, an architect in San Francisco, has served on the City of Alameda Planning Board for the past eight years. They both enjoy contributing to growth and positive change for a vibrant community. With knowledge of architecture, community, and city affairs, Dede is most helpful in orienting her clients to life in Alameda neighborhoods.
Dede has an appreciation of the beauty of older homes and the challenge of renovation. While living in Scotland, she bought, renovated and sold two Edwardian homes. Upon her return, she purchased a Colonial Revival home in Central Alameda and has just completed its renovation. It was Dede’s joy and vision of beautifying homes that led her to pursue a career in real estate.
